Machina is a single-player Action Adventure RPG where the player chooses a robotic companion to adventure with. As the player explores the world around them, they will be forced to defeat powerful bosses in battle, and overcome puzzles with the goal of restoring balance to a world that has become a dystopian society.

As the player explores the world around them, they will be forced to choose between 3 routes that differ in elemental types. The player is met with challenging opponents and world puzzles that can be solved via MindSwitch, a mechanic that allows you to control your Machina. With each battle won, you level up and gain new techniques that allow you to deal elemental damage or manipulate stats.

Combat is a central gameplay element, allowing players to form connections with their companions and challenge AI-controlled opponents. Players will experience combat through the actions of their companions. All the while, the player decides what actions to take.
